Class Hike

This hike was the first time in my life. We walked 8 miles. At first I wasn’t sure I could finish the hike. When I finished the hike I proud of it myself and it was wonderful. It was fun and very challenging. I realized about the difference with American and Asian’s culture; however I like the hike, and I want to hike again.

During the hike, I had so much fun. Mr. Gartrel gave us funny quizzes. I didn’t even get the point of the question, but the funny thing was I liked the quiz. I just gave up and chat with Ally. We were talking about Korean food and Chine food. We chatted like crazy people.  I almost lost in font of my people; of course they waited for us. Every hour we had water break. I hated drinking water. It was really hard to drink two water bottles.  I just throw some water on the ground. I had no choice. I had to do that. If I don’t drink two water bottles all the 7th grader would wait until I drank amount of water. But, still everything was enjoyable.

Accenting to the peek was really challenging to 7th graders. I think, most of kids was whining about we didn’t have enough breaks. When we reached to top of the mountain we got a lunch break. I wasn’t really hungry. We ate lunch to early, plus I brought sandwich just a half. I don’t know why. After I ate lunch I saw view. It was beautiful and I proud of myself. I saw Santa Cruz Island. Mr. Gartrel said, when we going down to the trail we can meet 8th graders, but we couldn’t.  I wanted to see Soo Bin and take about the hiking.

When we were going down, we played in a pond. Most of boys went in to the pond all the way down. They said the water was way too cold to go in. Most of girls went in there too.  I don’t know why girls and boys get in there. My all-Asian friends and I didn’t understood why did they playing like that. In Asia we don’t play with water or jumping inside. It was just different way of playing America and Asia. Mr. gartrel offers to all of 7th graders to throw rocks to metabare. We bet who is good at throwing rocks. I wasn’t good at throwing rocks.

Actually I don’t really like nature. I rather like to play with electronics; however I liked this class hiking. I liked spending time with my friends and looking beautiful view.
I think this is OVS’s appeal!
